In conjunction with the ongoing Summer Camp, the NCAC is presenting sewing classes for youth aged 10 – 14 years old. This 6-week program – taught by Mrs. Aminat Poopola – is designed to guide the students through the foundations of sewing where they complete a project at each skill level. Youths that complete this program will leave with the ability to make a bag, pajamas, and much more! This program is free for the registrants
This is an NCAC community-based initiative committed to advancing the social and economic integration and participation of Nigerian newcomers, immigrants and refugees in Calgary.
The NCAC Mentorship Program aims to build the community by supporting our young adults, college students and newcomers to Canada.
Feeling overwhelmed with unused “stuff?” Unused and unwanted possessions tend to accumulate so much that it becomes an overwhelming burden when it’s time to move. May be, it is the time to donate them.
As part of 2019 Nigerian Canadian Association of Calgary (NCAC) wellness program. The Super Eagles Over 35 soccer team has been registered in the Calgary United Soccer Association Men’s league in Master 1 division. This is a competitive league. The league starts end of April with three pre-season games and about 18 games will be played over five months (May to September). The team will also be representing Nigeria in the Calgary Nations cup scheduled for August long weekend.

NCAC awards the top performers in the community for their efforts in education, athletics and personal accomplishments.
Over the last seven years, NCAC has raised and donated over $50,000 to various charities. These charities include Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter, Alberta Cancer Foundation, Calgary Food Bank and Calgary Drop In Center. This year, the benefiting charity will be Kids Cancer Care.
