SUPPORT OUR CAUSE

By making a gift today you are helping to ensure that our organization is able to support the asks and needs of Nigerians in Calgary .At this time receipts are not tax-deductible as we are registered as a Non-For-Profit but with your continued support, we hope to grow to charitable status within the coming years.

STAMPEDE PARADE

The Stampede Parade is a special part of Calgary’s cultural identity and is the event which signals the start of the 10-day celebration.

NCAC Summer School

The annual NCAC summer camp program is for kids ages 7 years to 12 years, it runs every year from July to August.

NCAC LIFE SKILS PROGRAM

In conjunction with the ongoing Summer Camp, the NCAC is presenting sewing classes for youth aged 10 – 14 years old. This 6-week program – taught by Mrs. Aminat Poopola – is designed to guide the students through the foundations of sewing where they complete a project at each skill level. Youths that complete this program will leave with the ability to make a bag, pajamas, and much more! This program is free for the registrants

NEWCOMER ASSISTANCE PRGRAM

This is an NCAC community-based initiative committed to advancing the social and economic integration and participation of Nigerian newcomers, immigrants and refugees in Calgary.

NCAC MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

The NCAC Mentorship Program aims to build the community by supporting our young adults, college students and newcomers to Canada.

NCAC COMMUNITY DONATION

Feeling overwhelmed with unused “stuff?” Unused and unwanted possessions tend to accumulate so much that it becomes an overwhelming burden when it’s time to move. May be, it is the time to donate them.

VOLUNTEERS

Become a Volunteer in Nigerian Canadian Association of Calgary. 

NCAC SOCCER TEAM

As part of 2019 Nigerian Canadian Association of Calgary (NCAC) wellness program. The Super Eagles Over 35 soccer team has been registered in the Calgary United Soccer Association Men’s league in Master 1 division. This is a competitive league. The league starts end of April with three pre-season games and about 18 games will be played over five months (May to September). The team will also be representing Nigeria in the Calgary Nations cup scheduled for August long weekend.

THE ANNUAL NCAC SUMMER CAMP

The NCAC Summer Camp team engages the children throughout the summer by organising field trips to the TELUS Spark Science Centre , Royal Tyrell Museum in Drumheller, Calgary Zoo etc. They also teach the children valuable life skills.

NCAC ANNUAL FLAG RAISING CEREMONY

Please join us on 1st of October as we raise the Nigeria’s national flag at the Calgary City Hall in commemoration of Nigeria’s Independence Day celebration. Nigerians, NCAC Members and well wishers are encouraged to be at this ceremony.

NCAC AWARDS

NCAC awards the top performers in the community for their efforts in education, athletics and personal accomplishments.

NCAC Annual Golf Tournament

NCAC ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

Over the last seven years, NCAC has raised and donated over $50,000 to various charities. These charities include Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter, Alberta Cancer Foundation, Calgary Food Bank and Calgary Drop In Center. This year, the benefiting charity will be Kids Cancer Care.
